Halo Waypoint Gets an Upgrade

Halo Waypoint Gets an Upgrade

Halo Waypoint, the community hub for everything Halo related, has received a bit of an upgrade recently, as announced via the official Halo Twitter account on Saturday, October 18. What new is introduced with the update? Well, “ shiny new Spartan profiles, ” which brings in new ways to customize your profile, along with new unlockable items, too.

The shiny new Halo Waypoint comes w/ shiny new Spartan profiles. Set up & customize yours now! ” the Halo Twitter account announced.

The Halo Waypoint website itself has also received a visual upgrade as well; the site now has a white and clean aesthetic to it, with occasional dashes of colour (i.e. blue) appearing on buttons, drop-down menus and links.

So, what exactly is new with the new profile customization options? Well, according to the overview of the changes on Halo Waypoint (which you’ll need to sign out of first before viewing, otherwise the link just sends you to your profile), you’ll be able to choose your avatar, your banner and change your bio, which can be done so more clearly than what it was when I last logged into Halo Waypoint some time ago.

Your forum rank will also be displayed underneath your username, too. Ranks are earned the more you contribute and post to the Halo Waypoint forums, and as you rise through them–from the Recruit ranks to the Spartan ones–you’ll receive a little badge on your profile to illustrate your rank to profile viewers. Each rank also unlocks new items, too, which gives you more ways to customise your profile.

You can read the changes to Halo Waypoint yourself via the second source link below. We’ll bring you more news on Halo should further information reach our ears.
