PC Gamers Will Need Plenty of HDD Space for Upcoming Call of Duty

It seems that, as each new title for the PC is released, the amount of power required from your desktop to run them keeps creeping steadily upward.

The much anticipated FPS Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is no exception, as it sets the bar quite high (even at the minimum requirements level). Just to get the game up and running (which will still likely require turning some graphics settings way down and completely disabling others), you’ll need 6 GB of RAM and 55 gigs of hard drive space free just to house this massive shooter.

Here is the complete rundown for all you mouse and keyboarders out there:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel CoreTM i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD PhenomTM II X4 810 @ 2.80 GHz or better
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 5870 @ 1GB or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 55 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible

We can only imagine how high the “recommended” hardware specs will be, which have not yet been made public. We’ll keep you posted between now and the game’s release on November 4 th .
