Magic 2015’s Next Expansion Will Launch Next Month

Magic 2015 , the most recent sequel to the video game adaptation series of the popular card game, Magic: The gathering , will soon be receiving its next expansion in a few weeks, about eight months after the game was first announced back in April.

This new expansion, entitled “ Garruk’s Revenge ”, will introduce additional content to Magic 2015 and put the fate of Garruk Wildspeaker, the deadliest hunter in the Multiverse, into  your hands as he seeks revenge. The expansion will be available first on PC (via Steam) and Android (via Google Play), with versions for Xbox One, Xbox 360, iPad and Kindle being available shortly thereafter.

The expansion itself is said to feature a collection of fan-favorite cards from the Alara block, as well as four new campaign levels and an expanded explore level. Taking on the role of Garruk, you’ll be using his deck to your way through challenging foes, describes a recently released press release. Garruk’s deck will improve with every victory, and you’ll be able to unlock cards from Alara to then modify your own deck should you choose to.

What’s more, with the release of Garruk’s Revenge , all of the cards that are in the original Magic 2015 campaign, Hunt Bigger Game and the Expansion are now entirely earnable through gameplay. Furthermore, those of you who have unlocked game’s five initial chapters will now have the opportunity to earn Battle Boosters (previously known as “Premium Boosters”) by winning multiplayer matches.

Garruk’s Revenge will be available for PC and Android on Wednesday, November 5, and it’ll be available for $4.99 (or your regional equivalent).

In early January, it was revealed that Magic: The Gathering will be receiving its own movie series , with the aim of launching a massive franchise akin the the size of Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings . Also revealed in January, Magic 2014 received new DLC that added two completely new card decks to the game’s line-up.

We’ll bring you more news on Magic 2015 should further information reach our ears.
