Microsoft CEO Says There Is No Pay Gap Between Microsoft’s Men and Women

Microsoft CEO Says There Is No Pay Gap Between Microsoft’s Men and Women

Sexism is in the news recently, what with all the #GamerGate happenings. As such, the inequalities between men and women are currently in the spotlight. Commenting on these inequalities is Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who says currently there is little to no pay gap between men and women at Microsoft. Nadella says that men and women are paid equally at Microsoft, with only a .5 percent difference in salaries on a global basis.

And that’s good, but Nadella doesn’t think Microsoft’s work is over. While there is little pay gap between the sexes, Microsoft and all companies of the world need to work to increase diversity between ethnicities.

“The real issue is do we have enough people of different ethnicity and women in those levels? Do we have them in our corporate vice president ranks? Are we promoting them as vigorously as we are?” he said. Nadella added that he will “go to work” on these issues and others.
