Nintendo Seeks Positions For “Future Platforms”

Nintendo Seeks Positions For “Future Platforms”

With the Wii U still very young, Nintendo appears to be seeking employees who will work on developing a future platforms. A listing was found on LinkedIn in August which called for a Lead Graphics Architect, of which one of the responsibilities was devising strategies for new future Nintendo gaming platforms. The job opening has been reposted on Taleo, a recruitment website, this month.

Don’t get us wrong. This probably doesn’t mean that a new Nintendo console is coming any time soon, but it does mean that Nintendo is already thinking about a new platform. This isn’t all that weird for game companies, who are in the business of constantly creating new and interesting gameplay experiences that will make you want to trade up console to console, and with the Wii U not doing so well financially it makes perfect sense that Nintendo would start looking at other options early.
