Max Landis Wrote a Super Mario Bros. Movie That Sucked

Max Landis, writer for Chronicle , has been writing his whole life. When he was 19, he wrote perhaps one of the most awesome and hilarious projects he ever set his sights on. That project was a script for a Super Mario World movie, a script that is 436 pages long, longer than any other Hollywood movie script out there.

Landis calls it more of a “manifesto” than a movie. “There has never been a produced film in America with a length of 436 pages.” he said. He also says that it has poor tone, pacing, and dialogue, and even consistency problems. It is essentially, a poor work of fanfiction.

If you want to read the Super Mario World script of a 19 year old movie screenwriter, you can! Landis published it on his personal website and let me tell you, it is quite the read.
