The creator of Gears of War and founder of Boss Key Productions , Cliff Bleszinski, offered up his two-cents on the matter of video games imitating movies after watching a new trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (embedded below), which featured a quote claiming that the game “ transcends the line between game and film. ”
” Stop with this shit, ” he vented via his official Twitter account . “ Games shouldn’t aspire to be movies. That said, Advanced Warfare does look really fun, ” he added . “ Movies are not games, though, stop with the comparisons, folks. Insecure much? ”
Implying that he had a lot more to say on the matter, it seems that Twitter’s 140 character cap wasn’t enough for Bleszinski to express his frustration in a more detailed manner.
