Some Destiny Players are Getting Legendary Armor for Free, Sequel Already in Development

It’s been reported that some lucky Destiny players are receiving free Legendary armor, if an email received by Game Informer is any given indication. According to said email, this free Legendary armor was sent as a gift from Bungie, which also includes additional tips on how to increase your Light level past level 20, such as playing Vanguard strike playlists.

Participating in these kind of playlists will reward you with marks, which are a special kind of currency in Destiny that can be used to buy special weapons, armor and items. If you save up your marks, you’ll be able to buy your own piece of Legendary armor.

The Tower Factions have recognized your contribution to Humanity’s struggle, ” reads the email in question. “ To help you continue your fight beyond Level 20, their emissaries have issued you a piece of Legendary Armor.

It’s not known whether or not this Legendary piece will be the same for all recipients; one person may get Legendary leg armor, another might get Legendary head armor, and so on. If you have received a notification of such, then you can collect your new Legendary armor via the postmaster in Destiny’s Tower.

Further, it has been confirmed that a direct sequel for Destiny is now in the works, according to the game’s publisher, Activision. Not only that, but additional expansion packs are also being developed, too.

Work has also begun on future expansion packs as well as on our next full game release, ” Activision’s CEO, Eric Hirshberg, said during an earnings call. ” We’re very pleased with the launch and continuing engagement.

Destiny currently has two publically announced expansion packs, the first of which, “ The Dark Below ”, is slated to release on Tuesday, December 9. The other expansion pack, “ House of Wolves ”, will release at a later date.

We’ll bring you more news on Destiny should further information reach our ears.
