Reports are coming in that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is suffering numerous issues with online play. Players are getting disconnects, incredible lag spikes, and “service not available” messages. These reports are mostly isolated to the PC and PS4 versions of the game with the Xbox One version experiencing few issues at all.
Sledgehammer and Activision both said in the past that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would feature dedicated servers in order to avoid connectivity issues like this. Currently, it is unclear whether or not servers are having issues, or simple peer to peer connections are making matches unstable.
Activision’s response has been, “We’re aware of connectivity issues currently being experienced. They are under investigation. Stay tuned for updates.”
