Sonic Boom Has Hilarious Infinite Jump Glitch

Sonic Boom Has Hilarious Infinite Jump Glitch

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric , one of the worst Sonic games to come out in the history of Sonic games, has an incredibly hilarious bug in it that lets you complete it in less than an hour. The bug is an infamous one, an infinite jump glitch, a glitch that has been seen in several games, including titles such as God of War .

To exploit the bug, you need to play as Knuckles. When you jump, you simply pause the game and unpause it as he nears the height of his leap. When this happens, Knuckles’ jump gets reset, causing him to once again bound upwards. By repeating this action, Knuckles can essentially reach an infinite jump height, which means he can basically traverse the map wherever he likes as long as there isn’t a ceiling.

As a result, Knuckles can skip the ENTIRE GAME by basically jumping  at the right places. The quickest speedrun of the game currently clocks in at under an hour, and a lot of that is menu time, cutscenes, and loading.

At least that’s one way to make this otherwise lackluster Sonic game kind of fun. Speedrunners will fix everything!
