Destiny’s first of two confirmed expansions, The Dark Below , will be releasing next month on Tuesday, December 9, and already a fan of the game has accumulated an extensive list of what to allegedly expect from the expansion, including details regarding new upgrade perks and items, and even Legendary-grade weapons.
The information comes from PlanetDestiny , a website dedicated to all-things Destiny . The list of new items, weapons and gear focus on raid armor presumably rewarded from the “Crota’s End” raid, another raid to add to the current line up of in-game raids (which currently just includes one: Vault of Glass).
Needless to say, the supposedly new raid armor to be included in the expansion features designs and aesthetics themed around the Hive. Not only will there be new weapons and armor, but also a new material as well: Radiant Energy, which can be used access the new upgrade perks.
Below are two lists of the supposedly new upgrade perks for both weapons and armor. Weapons come first, followed by armor.
Dark Breaker: Projectiles will overpenetrate through Hive Knight Wall of Darkness.
Target Mark: Enemies hit by this weapon are briefly highlighted.
Hive Disruptor: This weapon deals bonus damage to stronger Hive enemies.
Lifestealer: Three rapid kills in succession will heal a small amount and start shield regeneration.
White Nail: Three consecutive precision hits in rapid succession will refill the mag.
Crota’s Pet: Three rapid precision hits will return one round to the mag.
- Lich Bane: Projectiles have a chance to disorient Hive Wizards.
Moment of Power: Gain a temporary increase to weapon damage while Oversoul’s Gaze is active.
Moment of Speed: Gain a temporary increase to reload speed while Oversoul’s Gaze is active.
Hive Breaker (randomly selected): Killing a Hive with a melee attack has a chance to spawn an Orb of Light.
Hive Destroyer (randomly selected): Killing a Hive with a grenade ability has a chance to spawn an Orb of Light.
Hive Striker (randomly selected): Killing a Hive with a critical hit has a chance to spawn an Orb of Light.
Swordbearer’s Touch: Gain a temporary increase to Agility while carrying the sword of a Hive Swordbearer.
While buying The Dark Below expansion will allow you access to new weapons and gear, those who don’t buy into the expansion will also receive new weapons and armor and some additional free content . Destiny’s most recent update did just that; it added 230 new items, a new voice chat system and much, much more .
The Dark Below on its own will set you back £19.99, or your regional equivalent. If you’d like to buy it along with Destiny’s second expansion pack, “ House of Wolves ”, you can purchase the Destiny Expansion Pass for £34.99, or you regional equivalent.
