Sony Has Helped Raise $21,000 for Charity this Movember

November has passed, and along with it goes Movember, a time where people grow out their facial hair to raise money for charity.

At the end of its 30-day run, it’s been reported that PlayStation users, who either contributed or donated to the cause, have raised a total of just over $21,000– specifically , they raised €16,973, which roughly converts to $21,024 (according to Google’s currency converter). As well as a hefty amount of raised funds, they’ve also helped raise awareness of Movember as well.

It wasn’t just people that let their hair grow either, virtual characters had facial hair added to them as well in spirit of the cause–characters like Sir Galahad from The Order: 1886 , Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet and even Ellie from The Last of Us had hair put on their face.

With the two latter characters in particular (along with others), limited edition prints and framed images of their mustache-added appearances were designed by renowned illustrator Tom Mac. What’s more is that there was also a limited edition vinyl print of a moustache for the light bar of the DualShock 4 controller (featured above).

Those at PlayStation also wish to remind you that you can still contribute to the Movember cause by donating to the “ Grow With Galahad ” or PlayStation Official networks over on the official Movember website.

We’ll bring you more on this should further information reach our ears.
