Guilty Gear Street Date Lifted at Gamestop

Guilty Gear Street Date Lifted at Gamestop

Something weird and random happened yesterday. GameStop was, out of the blue, okayed to start selling copies of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- .

This news comes from a GameStop employee who has wished to remain anonymous. I was contacted by the employee and was told that GameStop received a message that the street date for Guilty Gear Xrd was just lifted out of the blue for both the PS3 and PS4 versions. The message came from corporate and should have gone out to every GameStop store out there.

To test this theory, I went to a completely different GameStop from the one my contact worked at. I asked for a copy of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- for the PlayStation 3. There was only one left in stock, but they willingly sold it to me.

In fact, this is actually a pretty normal story. Other sites that are reporting about the dropped street date, also mention that only one PS3 copy was in stock. Shoryuken.com is a notable example. I did some more digging and called up a few other GameStops in the New York area, and those that did have the game had, surely enough, one copy of the PS3 version of the game in stock. So supplies are limited.

Regardless, if you want to get the game a full week before street release, head out to your local GameStop now!
