We have always been saying that we wanted Square-Enix to focus on games with story. It looks like they heard us loud and clear.
They recently revealed the first trailer for their new cinematic style game, Life is Strange, made by Dontnod entertainment. The game follows a young woman with time traveling powers. She goes through her life watching tragedies befall people around her, and uses her powers to try to fix them. But when she does, sometimes things end up worse than they were before.
The game has been called a “playable indie movie” and “a fusion of The Walking Dead and Gone Home.” Square-Enix is looking to sell the episodic game for five dollars an episode, or twenty dollars for all five. The game will come out on all platforms current and last gen, as well as Steam.
