GTA V Dev Plans to Announce Official PC Specs Very Soon

During Rockstar Games’ most recent Question & Answer session for its fans, the developer stated that it would be revealing the official system requirements to run the latest installment to the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Grand Theft Auto V , on PC very soon.

According to the developer’s reply to a related question, the PC version of the game is currently in its final stages of development, and it hopes to reveal the requirements within the coming week.

We’re presently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V and hope to have confirmed official system requirements to share soon here at the Newswire, please stay tuned for that to be announced in the coming week, ” Rockstar Games said. Thank you and we’re very excited to bring GTAV to the PC gaming community!

Also during the Q&A, Rockstar confirmed that you’ll be able to transfer your GTA Online characters from any of the console versions of the game to the PC version. Online characters and progress can be transferred to PC even if they have previously been transferred from the PS3 or Xbox 360 to the PS4 or Xbox One. Rockstar has provided an updated transfer information article at Rockstar Support to aid players in this endeavor.

While transferring online characters can be done between console brands and console generations, the developer also confirms that last-gen and current-gen players of the same game won’t be able to interact with each other over GTA Online due to such a thing not being technically possible for the developer as of yet.

We absolutely love being able to push the boundaries of what can be done in a dynamic online world like GTA Online , but certain things are not technically possible right now and [last-gen players playing GTA Online with current-gen players] is one of them. Unfortunately, there is no technical way that we could enable players to play in the same lobby with one another across different types or generations of game consoles. It is also impossible to enable PC players to join console-based lobbies.
