For those of you wondering how close Street Fighter V is to being done, the answer is: not very. In a recent issue of Famitsu, Yoshinori Oni talked about how far the game is in development. Apparently the game is only 20% done, and all of the mechanics in the game are still up for being changed. The game may change profoundly between now and its actual release date, which hasn’t been announced.
Capcom’s Tomoaki Ayano suggested that we might not see the game come out until 2018. But according to recent spottings on online retailers such as Amazon, the game may come out as early as 2016. Either way, the game is coming and it’s going to change what we know about Street Fighter. Here’s hoping for parries!
