Amazon Launches One Hour Delivery Service

Amazon Launches One Hour Delivery Service

Need to get your new game now? Like right now? Like a couple minutes after you finish reading this article now? Well, now you can. Amazon has unveiled a brand new super fast delivery option called Prime Now.

Available to prime subscribers in and around Manhattan, Prime Now guarantees that your package will get to your house in an hour. Amazon says that the delivery option will be available for tens of thousands of products, but is geared to be used for essentials only. This involves towels, shampoo, batteries, food, and more. It’s the perfect option when you are caught with your pants down, so to speak, although the delivery option does cover some nonessential products as well, such as video games… and pants.

“There are times when you can’t make it to the store and other times when you simply don’t want to go. There are so many reasons to skip the trip and now Prime members in Manhattan can get the items they need delivered in an hour or less,” Amazon VP Dave Clark said.

Shipping with an hour delivery costs eight dollars while two hour delivery is free. Welcome to the future. 30 minute delivery with remote drones is probably what’s coming next.
