Sony Online Entertainment’s free-to-play MMO first-person shooter, PlanetSide 2, officially released on the PC back in November, 2012. When the PlayStation 4 was revealed, it was announced that the game would be heading to Sony’s new console as well. It was promised that the PlayStation 4 version of PlanetSide 2 would be just like the PC version, only with maxed graphical settings. The game was originally slated to be a PS4 launch title, but it was rescheduled to release at the end of this year.
With the end of 2014 hurtling ever closer, the closed Beta of PlanetSide 2 has yet to launch on the PlayStation 4. According to a recent tweet by John Smedley, SOE’s president, players can hope to see the Beta in mid-January.
