Users Having Problems With Digital Far Cry 4

On Monday, a peculiar error happened to users who bought the digital version of Far Cry 4 . The game inexplicably wouldn’t load up. The Xbox One would return the error code ‘0X87DE07D1’ followed by a prompt asking whether or not the game had been purchased, which seemed very… very weird considering you would need to to have it download.

The error seemed to coincide with the game being taken off the Xbox One marketplace. For now, it seems like it was only accidental, as the game was put back on the marketplace shortly therafter. But the thought that the game would cease functioning when removed has some users a bit worried. There are a lot of classic games, such as Marvel vs Capcom 2 , that are no longer offered on marketplaces. As a result, many people are holding on to their digital versions for dear life. But if these versions are somehow disabled when they are taken off the marketplace, then your entire library could be disabled at any time. Personally, I would rather buy hard copies if this is the case.

Microsoft has assured us that the strange occurrence is not part of a DRM policy change. They have stated that you will be able to download a game you have purchased off the Marketplace even if it has been taken off. You can read more on the Microsoft support page.
