DriveClub Receives Five Free Japanese Tracks in Latest Update

Evolution Studios has announced that its PlayStation 4 exclusive racing game DriveClub will be receiving an update that’ll add five new race tracks to the game entirely for free. The update itself, which will patch the game to version 1.10, is a 3.33GB download that also brings additional features and improvements such as a new online gamemode and enhanced AI.

In addition to that and better weather visuals, the large update introduces “many, many improvements” based on player feedback. The 1.10 update will start downloading as soon as you boot up DriveClub . In total, the combined size for the game’s updates (so far) is 5.87GB. The new features include the aforementioned five Japanese race tracks, which have more than one variation each, a new multiplayer time trial gamemode. There are 11 variations across the five new maps, which have been bullet-pointed below.

  • Nakasendo, Japan, two variations

  • Lake Shoji, Japan, two variations

  • Asagiri Hills Racetrack, three variations

  • Takahagi Hills, two variations

  • Goshodaira, two variations

As for the added improvements to DriveClub’s gameplay, changes have been introduced to Drift Mode; AI drafting behaviour; world collisions, so that drag and lost speed is reduced; a new option in the Event Settings (races can be customized to not feature crowds or flags); disables overscan compensation when playing the game via Remote Play; a link to the PlayStation Store via the Home Menu; and much more.

There are also additional add-ons scheduled to release later on this month, which adds support to upcoming maps, cars, events and trophies. These updates are slated to be introduced between Tuesday, January 27 and Friday, January 29. You can read more on DriveClub’s new and forthcoming improvements via the source link below.
