A recently published report and scanned image have been interpreted to confirm that Edea, a character from Bravely Default , will be one of the main characters in Bravely Second , Bravely Default’s sequel. Featured on the report’s accompanying scanned image, Edea is wearing blue attire and is wielding a katana-like weapon. Next to this image are apparently in-game screenshots of dialogue scenes, along with Japanese text.
As per DualShockers’ understanding of the report, it is unclear whether or not Edea will be a playable character, even though she will apparently be a protagonist in Bravely Second . It is also believed that she will be the leader of the Imperial Guard Knights. Edea will reportedly be able to “judge” the Asterisk bearers from Bravely Default . A new feature called the “Barter Sub-Scenario System” was also mentioned, as well as the supposed ability to “undermine the enemy ‘pastry chef’ in a special cuisine.”
Although the game was available in Japan first in 2012, Bravely Default released in Europe and North America in December, 2013 and February, 2014 respectively, and was launched on the 3DS. Bravely Second was announced at the end of 2013, and will release in Japan first during April this year. A Western release has yet to be announced.
