A listing for a re-release of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy has surfaced on Amazon recently, with an apparent release date of Thursday, January 29. Allegedly available to pre-order now, the game’s product entry also mentions Steam compatibility, but the title has yet to actually appear on the Steam client itself. It’s also implied that the re-released game may also appear on mobile devices as well.
This version of Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy boasts to contain “ all of the game’s original scenes, uncensored and uncut.” Currently, it’s apparently only available to United States Amazon customers. The same entry doesn’t appear on the United Kingdom branch of the retailer. The supposed cover art of game displays Mac and Linux support, but the included system requirements neglect to mention these two operating systems (which have been included below). Considering Aspyr is listed on the product overview, which is an American games studio that ports Windows games to both Mac and Linux, it’s possible that this left out information (if true) may have been an oversight. Until otherwise officially announced, it’s advisable to take this product entry with a pinch of salt.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy is coined as the “ definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery,” which promised to deliver ”the groundbreaking title to old and new fans alike. ” High-definition graphics are among the title’s touted changes, with all of the in-game textures being “ meticulously recreated in HD for mobile and desktop.” Full controller support is also included, which will allow for gamers to use both Sony and Microsoft controllers to play the game via their PC. Players will also be able to switch between the new game’s high-definition graphics and original graphics a la Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary . A Steam account will apparently be required in order to both activate and install the game as well.
