Bungie Promises Fewer Technical Snafus in Destiny’s Future

Bungie Promises Fewer Technical Snafus in Destiny’s Future

While Bungie no doubt hit a grand-slam right out the box with their first outing as a stand-alone developer, the road up ‘till now has certainly not been a totally smooth one.

Despite its success, Destiny has been hit with a handful of minor technical issues, specifically relating to their recent DLC The Dark Below . However, those behind the scenes promise they’ve learned from these shortcomings and ensure history WILL NOT repeat itself. Luke Smith (who is Bungie design lead) told NeoGAF that the “…mistakes we made with the DLC1 reward economy will not be repeated.”

Next up is the second expansion entitled House of Wolves , which they hope will allow for a more flexible experience (and not feel like such a tedious ordeal in the way some of the leveling/equipping works). Smith says they want “…fewer barriers to equipping upgrades. The shard economies erect these barriers between players and the new piece of gear they just got. We’re not intending to adjust the shard economy for this Tier , we don’t want to invalidate player effort again. But removing the barrier between that new drop you’re excited to get and actually being able to equip it as a member of your arsenal are something we will do going forward.”

House of Wolves is due to hit consoles in March.
