Zelda: A Link to the Past Comic Returns After 20 Years

Zelda: A Link to the Past Comic Returns After 20 Years

Viz Media has announced that it’ll be publishing a single volume collection of the 20-year-old comic based on Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past SNES videogame. The collection will soon be reprinted later on this year–expectedly in May.

The comic itself first appeared in Nintendo Power magazine during 1992, and was then published in paperback form in the following year. It was illustrated by Shotaro Ishinomori, a celebrated manga artist who created Cyborg 009 and Kamen Rider . The story of the comic follows A Link to the Past’s plot, but it also adds a few more twists and characters as well.

Viz Media has also published other manga adaptations of The Legend of Zelda franchise, which is said to include Majora’s Mask and The Minish Cap among other titles, and are all illustrated by Akira Himekawa. Although the mangas can be bought individually, they can also be bought as part of a box set . There is also a manga adaptation of A Link to the Past as well.
