Think back to ten years ago when we didn’t have smart phones. Now stop before you realize that our entire lives are controlled by tiny little five hundred dollar boxes that we keep in our pockets all day.
Apple has recently announced that they have sold over one billion iOS devices as per last holiday season. 74.5 million iPhones were sold just during the three month holiday period. According to Apple they sold 34,000 iPhones every hour, 24 hours a day, every day of the quarter.
Arguably, this makes the iPhone the most sold gaming platform of all time. The PlayStation 2 is the best selling video game console of all time, and it sold only 150 million units. Of course, if we go all the way back to DOS games, the computer probably has the iPhone’s number. Get it! I made a pun.
