Battlefield 4 DLC Now Free on EA Access

Battlefield 4 DLC Now Free on EA Access

Electronic Arts announced yesterday that all EA Access subscribers will be eligible to play Battlefield 4’s new Second Assault expansion free for roughly a month. Any EA Access member who has an active subscription between now and Saturday, February 28 will be able to download Second Assault without any further charge on top of the service’s subscription fee. Users will find the expansion DLC in the EA Access Hub on Xbox One. The base game of Battlefield 4 can also be found there. It’s reported that Second Assault is also the first Battlefield 4 DLC to be delivered through EA Access.

EA Access is an Xbox One-exclusive subscription service that allows members to play EA-owned games from The Vault, which is a library of the publisher’s biggest titles on Microsoft’s current-gen console. The service’s fee is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, and will not require an Xbox LIVE Gold membership in order to function (although membership will be needed for online play). The Beta of the service went live in August last year, a couple of weeks after it was first announced .
