Developers Hope Destiny Will Only Get Better in Time

After being showered with awards during the recent D.I.C.E. summit out in sunny Las Vegas, Bungie took time to reassure gamers and the press that they want their hit title Destiny to be like a fine wine, only getting better with age.

One representative stated their focus on areas of improvement is literarily a “day-in, day-out” process, as they are always “…learning and watching and seeing and responding…we put this thing out there; we hoped that it would resonate with people. And we’re watching and we’re seeing what’s working and what’s not and trying to adjust. So it’s a passion for us…It’s ongoing for us. It’s only going to get better.”

If you’re a Halo fan (or at least aware of the series), then you already know of the rabid fan base which typically develops around a Bungie release. Destiny has been no different since its debut in September, which the studio credits as a key factor to their success. “We’ve always had one of the better communities in the games industry. And it’s been a testament to them to see them continue to play our game and continue to be faithful in us and know that we’re going to work out the kinks as we go along” the studio said during the awards coverage.

There’s no word yet on when the next expansion entitled House of Wolves will be released, but many expect it will arrive sometime this fall.
