Paranautical Activity Back on Steam

Paranautical Activity Back on Steam

It looks like the long and bizarre story of Paranautical Activity has finally come to a close, as the game has found itself back on Steam.

The game was first taken off Steam when Code Avarice developer Mike Maulbeck said some pretty inflammatory things about Steam, like that it was “the most incompetent piece of f*&king sh@t” and that it was, “just taking money out of my pocket, misinforming people that my game is in f*&king early access.” This all lead up to the pièce de résistance of inflammatory Internet posts with Maulbeck saying “I am going to kill Gabe Newell. He is going to die.”

But now Code Avarice, the game’s original developer, has sold the rights to Paranautical Activity to distributor Digerati. As a result, the game has reappeared on Steam as the Deluxe Atonement Edition . It includes a ton of new content like new weapons, new enemies, and more.

And what of Maulbeck? Well even though he said he was quitting Code Avarice, and then went back on that decision, he is apparently still looking for employment elsewhere in the gaming world.

Now you can be the judge as to whether or not this game is worth your time, independent of Gabe Newell death threats.
