NeoGAF User Reveals Which Kickstarter Games Will Never Be Released

Sometimes it’s important to just say no. This is a sentiment I’m sure many now echo, who’ve seen their hard-earned cash (which they invested into several up-and-coming game projects) seemingly disappear.

A moderator over at NeoGAF took it upon himself to compile a most interesting document chronicling all the games on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter which have reached goals over $75k, yet have not been released or are MIA. To be fair, the list does include many of the titles which have successfully followed through to market (also providing a grace-period for those still in development).

However, the fact remains that as of June 2014, only a very small handful of proposals have been capable of producing the product they promised when first launching their campaigns. For the complete rundown on all this data (detailing both the failed and launched titles), you can view the original spreadsheet here .

You’ll find among those categorized as “failures,” the author has included notes regarding many of the original developer’s excuses. Some read as a comedy of errors, with excerpts like “development is hard” and terms such as “scam” or “fraud” being used quite frequently.
