Square Enix has announced a brand new Final Fantasy game called Final Fantasy: Record Keeper . It’s a mobile game, but before you start groaning, it actually looks pretty cool.
The idea behind the game is that you get to travel through Final Fantasy ’s history, experiencing all of the major plot points from each installment. The catch is, as you experience these iconic moments, characters from each Final Fantasy installment join your party. So you can form a party of Tidus, Cloud, Lightning, Terra, and a Black Mage from Final Fantasy 1 , and try to take on… I don’t know, Exdeath or something.
The game will feature sixteen-bit graphics and will focus on the series’ iconic Active Time Battle system. It will be available for purchase on the iTunes store and Google Play this spring.
