Is Life is Strange Delayed?

Something strange happened in regards to Life is Strange the other day. A Square-Enix representative told Destructoid that the project has been indefinitely delayed which seems weird considering the first episode just came out. It would probably win the record for fastest canceled episodic game, if this were true.

Shortly after this statement was made a tweet went up saying that production for Episode 2 of Life is Strange is still underway, and it’s planning to get released sometime before the end of March. Unfortunately a full date could not be given.

In short… we really don’t know what is happening to Life is Strange right now. Let’s just hope that everyone who purchased the season pass will get their money’s worth.

EDIT: Since the original writing of this story, Square-Enix has issued a statement clearing things up. It read as follows:

“Dear friends of Life is Strange,

“We’ve been asked to clear up the question of when Episode 2 will be released since there have been rumours of a delay. We would like to assure everyone that development is on track and we’re looking to release it before the end of March.

“Thanks for all your support so far – we’ve loved reading all your feedback and comments. As a show of gratitude and something to enjoy before the game is available here’s a piece of concept art for Episode 2: Out of Time.”
