Earlier today, DICE released the winter patch for Battlefield 4 across all platforms. This comprehensive update includes several key changes like a brand new eSports-focused game mode called Squad Obliteration, and various fixes in the audio, art, user interface, vehicle, and weapon portions of the game.
Several of these tweaks are being implemented to provide players with more customization options, improve the game’s netcode, and enhance the overall gameplay experience. DICE was even nice enough to list all of these changes in a detailed PDF file that can be downloaded right here .
Given all the issues players experienced when Battlefield 4 launched way back in October of 2013, it will be interesting to see how Battlefield Hardline does when it hits stores in a few weeks. With Visceral behind the game, fans may be somewhat forgiving but this won’t be fully known until the game is out and proves to be functional. EA are placing a lot of bets on this title being successful and hopefully all of these risks will pay off.
