Battlefield Hardline is 720p on Xbox One and 900p on PS4

Battlefield Hardline is 720p on Xbox One and 900p on PS4

This past weekend, Visceral Games revealed over Twitter that the upcoming Battlefield: Hardline will have a resolution of 720p on the Xbox One and 900p on the PS4. This answer surfaced after a fan asked the studio about how the game would look on consoles. Not surprisingly, the PC version of the game has higher specs and can be maxed out based on the stability of the customer’s machine.

Resolution was and still is an ongoing debate when it comes to both consoles these days. This news surely will anger many as Visceral had been making strides towards getting the game running at 1080p across all platforms but ultimately failed to do so.

Battlefield: Hardline is one title that has been heavily scrutinized by both fans and critics alike since it was announced. While the core concept of cops and robbers sounds appealing, the game essentially looks and still plays like a regular Battlefield game. If the online manages to work at launch, though, all may be forgiven and diehard fans of the series won’t have much else to complain about.

Are any of you disappointed that Battlefield: Hardline wont run at 1080p on consoles? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on this and more in the comments section below.
