Rainbow Six Siege Closed PC Alpha Announced

Rainbow Six Siege Closed PC Alpha Announced

Yesterday afternoon, Ubisoft revealed that it is currently looking for players to participate in a closed PC alpha for the multiplayer portion of their upcoming Rainbow Six Siege video game. The announcement trailer embedded below dives further into why the developers are taking this approach with the highly anticipated shooter.

Those who are interested in participating must have a dedicated Uplay account and can start the signup process by visiting the Rainbow 6 website . Below is a quick rundown of the recommended PC System requirements for this alpha.

·       OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64

·       CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core

·       CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)

·       RAM: 8 GB

·       GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X

·       VRAM: 2 GB

Ubisoft’s decision to have this closed alpha is smart because it shows they are committed to fixing any and all issues that may appear in the final build of the game. Measures like this are absolutely necessary given how horrible Assassin’s Creed: Unity ‘s launch was last year. Hopefully Rainbow Six Siege doesn’t suffer the same fate, as it is already one of the most anticipated shooters of the year.

Rainbow Six Siege is expected to launch sometime in late 2015 on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
