Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Day One Patch Is Massive On Both Consoles

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Day One Patch Is Massive On Both Consoles

Earlier today, Eurogamer released a report confirming that the day one patches for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection may take a while to download. The Xbox One version of the game takes up 16GB of hard drive space while the PS4 version is approximately 8.3GB in full.

The reasoning behind these hefty patch updates is because of the newly released Claptastic Voyage DLC that was unable to make it on the retail discs in time. As with most updates, the patch also fixes any technical issues that players may encounter in both games.

With patch updates getting bigger and bigger with most games today, it’s starting to become clear that we all will have to upgrade our hard drives at some point and time. Clearly, 500GB hard drives at launch were included to cut costs but definitely aren’t meant to last throughout the entire console’s lifespan.

Have any of you picked up Borderlands: The Handsome Collection yet? If so, please feel free to let us know your thoughts on both games in the comments section below.
