Nintendo Aims To Surprise With New Hardware

Nintendo Aims To Surprise With New Hardware

Earlier this week, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata conducted an interview with Nikkei and mentioned that they aim to surprise fans with the NX. He stated that expanding upon existing hardware is limiting and that they are always thinking of ways to change the overall gaming experience.

The NX was originally hinted at last week during a press conference and more news is expected to surface right around E3 2016. Nintendo also announced its partnership with DeNa at this event and are currently planning to launch their first mobile game sometime later this year.

While we don’t officially know what the NX is yet, my best guess is that it has to be a big deal if Nintendo felt the need to announce it while games are still being developed for the Wii U. At this point, I find myself questioning the value of their current console and I’m certain a lot of consumers are feeling the same way. Hopefully they have a good plan in place to keep both pieces of hardware relevant, because if they don’t the results will be catastrophic.

Are any of you looking forward to finding out exactly what the NX is? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
