Spotify Out Now On PlayStation Music

Spotify Out Now On PlayStation Music

Earlier today, Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel revealed in a blog post that Spotify is now available on both the PS4 and PS3 through PlayStation Music. He added that this is an exclusive partnership and current Spotify subscribers can either link their accounts to PSN or use the Spotify Connect feature to access playlists by console at anytime.

Lempel originally announced that the popular music streaming service would eventually come to PlayStation Music back in January. Now that this app is readily available on both consoles, this should greatly enhance the gaming sessions of everyone who enjoys listening to music while playing.

While it’s great to hear that this service is finally on the PS4 and PS3, I’ll be curious to see if Microsoft eventually gets a similar deal going too. The fact that there is exclusivity in the Sony deal definitely will hinder that process, but I still believe something similar is in the works for the Xbox One.

Are any of you planning on trying out Spotify today? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
