Yesterday, Project CARS Creative Director Andy Tudor revealed on the game’s official website that Slightly Mad Studios is planning to give away free DLC every month to thank all of the fans for their patience and support. He also confirmed that the first free car as part of this initiative is the Lykan Hypersport, a beautifully designed sports car that will appear in the upcoming Furious 7 movie.
After numerous delays, Project CARS is finally expected to launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in May. The game is also expected to arrive on both SteamOS and Wii U later this year.
I personally think the decision to have free DLC is a brilliant move and will surely win over fans that might have started to lose interest in the game. Having a bonus incentive like this will definitely pique the interest of a casual racing game fan and if done correctly, may be just enough to keep hardcore fans engaged too.
