Capcom Announces Capcom Versus All-Stars

Capcom Announces Capcom Versus All-Stars

For those of you waiting to see what will come next after Marvel vs Capcom 3 , we now have the answer. Capcom has recently announced Capcom Versus All-Stars , the latest high-flying tag team versus style game to come from the developer.

Capcom Versus All-Stars will bring together all of Capcom’s famous IPs to fight in one all out brawl. Of course, all the regulars will be here, such as entrants from Street Fighter and Darkstalkers , but we will also see entrants from Mega Man , Rival Schools, Onimusha, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Phoenix Wright, Breath of Fire, Dustforce, Monster Hunter , and Power Stone , along with many others.

The game will be a 2D fighting game affair, built off of the familiar versus engine. Players will be able to choose teams of 1-3 characters, with fewer teams boasting more HP and higher damage. Smaller teams will also get more X-Factor activations, with teams of 3 only getting one, but solo teams getting 3. The game will also introduce a burst mechanic, which will take 3 levels of meter to execute. Bursting in the middle of a combo throws the opponent across the stage. Bursting from neutral, however, immediately puts you into X-Factor without using a stock. Finally, bursting in the middle of a combo pops the opponent up and allows another character to tag in, resetting damage scaling in the process. For now, it appears as if aerial tag combos have been taken out of the game.

We will bring you more information about Capcom Versus All-Stars as it becomes available.
