Quantum Break Delayed Until 2016

Quantum Break Delayed Until 2016

Earlier today, Microsoft confirmed via its Xbox Wire news blog that Quantum Break is now scheduled to launch sometime in 2016. According to Xbox’s Head of Publishing Shannon Loftis, several blockbuster exclusives are already coming this year including Halo 5: Guardians , Rise of the Tomb Raider , and Forza Motorsport 6 . Going by this logic, the studio decided that Quantum Break would be a better fit for their 2016 lineup of games.

Quantum Break is currently in development over at Remedy Entertainment. This highly respected studio brought us two groundbreaking hits in Max Payne and Alan Wake . Quantum Break will also turn out to be a very special game once its finally completed and in the hands of gamers everywhere.

This delay is hardly surprising as Remedy has a track record of taking a while to create games. The one interesting thing of note though is that Microsoft still has several other unannounced games that they are planning to release later this year. Hopefully we will find out more about these titles at E3 and whether not they truly are worth getting excited over.

Are any of you upset that Quantum Break won’t be out this year? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the matter and more in the comments section below.
