Last night, Kotaku confirmed that Earthbound digital codes are now available again over at Club Nintendo. Earlier that day, they broke the news that the virtual console version of the game was sold out.
Earthbound originally launched on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System way back in August of 1994. The virtual console version on the game debuted on the Wii U back in March of 2013 and is still a title that people enjoy playing today.
While Nintendo has remained quiet on what new games it is currently working on for the Wii U, classic titles like this and so many others continue to add value to its hardware. Perhaps the company will consider recreating and making new sequels from some of these games in the not too distant future.
