Earlier today, Eurogamer reported on a story confirming that the latest Super Smash Bros. Wii U patch has nerfed Diddy Kong. Prior to this crucial update, fans have been complaining about the character’s overpowering attacks in matchups. Nintendo has been doing a great job of supporting Super Smash Bros. on the Wii and 3DS ever since both games launched last year. Today’s update addresses a problem that I know many people had with the character, and hopefully this fix will keep more encounters fair and balanced from here on out.
With so many people still playing Super Smash Bros. today, it will be interesting to see how Nintendo intends to support both games even further down the road. Hopefully we will get a better idea of their long-term strategy during the next Nintendo Direct event.
