Yesterday, Assassin’s Creed II director Patrice Desilets announced a brand new game that he is currently working on. According to a story by Videogamer.com , this intriguing new project is titled Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey and its being billed as a third-person action-adventure survival episodic series.
A formal announcement page for the game can be found in all its glory at panachedigitalgames.com . Additionally, the team behind this game currently only consists of six people and we are expected to hear more about title later this year.
Desilets has had a very rocky relationship with Ubisoft ever since it decided to expand the Assassin’s Creed franchise and move away from his original vision and aspirations for the game. He left the company for good in 2013, and it’s great to see that he is finally working on a project that is meaningful to him. Hopefully we are all in for a treat once it finally sees the light of day.
