Koji Igarashi, the creator of Castlevania , is working on some new game. Igarashi recently left Konami to pursue other projects, and this strange mystery project, which feels a whole lot like a Castlevania reboot, is among them. A flyer was handed on at a Mighty No. 9 panel at PAX last year which hinted at the project. It contained a hidden message, “What a wonderful night to have a KS.” The message is a reference to Castlevania 2 and KS is likely a reference to Kickstarter.
Now we are getting more info through the release of a brand new teaser site . The site shows a pixelated Igarashi sitting on Dracula’s throne asking you a simple question, “sword or whip?” It’s unclear what the question really means, but most fans have taken it to mean we are voting on what weapon the main character will use in Igarashi’s next game. This is only enhanced by the fact that the site comes with its own hashtag, #Igavania. In short, expect a new Castlevania style game from him soon.
