Earlier today, Kotaku released a story suggesting that the next Assassin’s Creed title may be called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate as opposed to Assassin’s Creed Victory . Ubisoft also currently has a teaser website that is titled ACS and indicates that the above name change may be accurate.
The next Assassin’s Creed game will be revealed on May 12. The last game in the series was titled Assassin’s Creed Unity and received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, particularly due to its extremely buggy launch.
If indeed this new title is changed to Syndicate, then I applaud Ubisoft for going this route. Assassin’s Creed Unity had way too many problems and they would be shooting themselves in the foot as well as raising expectations if they left the new game titled as Assassin’s Creed Victory .
