The Black Glove Has Been Canceled

The Black Glove Has Been Canceled

The Black Glove , a surrealist first person game developed by former BioShock writers, has now been officially canceled. The game has had an unfortunate troubled history that has been holding it back since the idea was conceived. First, Day for Night Games decided to try and run a Kickstarter in order to fund the game. Unfortunately, that Kickstarter was wholly unsuccessful, raising only $216,517 out of the $550,000 that it needed.

So now that Kickstarter wasn’t working, they brought a demo of the game to PAX East and GDC, but could not find publishers that were willing to back it.

As a result, they’ve abandoned the idea for now. “We’ve decided to shelve The Black Glove for now,” Joe Fielder of Day for Night Games wrote. They are looking to pick it up at a later date, however.
