Once again, Nintendo has decided to forgo a traditional E3 press conference in lieu of a digital webcast that will be available on the official E3 website and elsewhere around the internet. There’s only one problem, though. Nintendo has decided to schedule it at the same time it usually does, 9AM PDT on convention Tuesday. Unfortunately, this is exactly the same time that Square-Enix is having its E3 press conference. Fans and game journalists are going to have to choose between the two, or perhaps grow a second head..
In addition to their press briefing, Ninendo has also announced that they will be bringing back the Nintendo World Championships. Yes, this is the same amazing gaming championship tournament that featured so prominently in The Wizard. Maybe contestants will get to use the power glove!

Finally, anyone who isn’t in the LA area will still be able to get a taste of E3. Nintendo will be putting Mario Maker setups in Best Buy stores on June 17 from 4-98pm and on June 20 from Noon to 5pm. That way you can play the demo, just like we can.
