Civilization: Beyond Earth is getting expanded with a brand new $30 expansion pack called Rising Tide . The expansion will focus on allowing you to utilize the ocean on your new alien world. You will be able to colonize it, mine resources from it, create floating cities, and even face off against new aquatic alien monsters. You’ll also gain access to new acquatic units, wonders, resources, and more.
Along with these acquatic elements, Rising Tide will introduce a number of new gameplay systems. A new Artifact System will allow players to collect alien relics and combine them into new ones. A number of new factions have been introduced, as well as new “hybrid affinity” units, which reward you if you invest in more than one affinity.
