Fallout 4 Won’t Appear on Last Gen Consoles

Although the announcement trailer for Fallout 4 showed off lots of canine footage but revealed scarce details,  Bethesda’s community manager, Matt Grandstaff, has revealed one thing: the game will not appear on last gen consoles.

Grandstaff confirmed the news on Neogaf . “It is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we’re doing will never work there,” he wrote.

Interestingly, Destructoid dug up an angry revenge post by an ex-Bethesda employee who wished to reveal all of Fallout 4’s secrets; one of his claims was that there would be a version of the game for Xbox 360 and PS3. While his claim that the game would take place in Boston has been confirmed, we can now put that specific rumor to rest.

The ex-employee also made other interesting claims including that players can incorporate their save data from Fallout 3 (probably untrue given that the sequel isn’t coming to last gen consoles), the map is three times larger that Skyrim’s , and players will only have the option of playing as a male.

Let’s hope that last rumor is just that: a rumor.

We’ll keep you updated on any confirmed details for the rest of Fallout 4’s development .
