Nintendo Planning Huge Miiverse Redesign

Nintendo Planning Huge Miiverse Redesign

Miiverse right now is, well, mostly just a hilarious source for incoherent postings (seriously, check out the Youtube Miiverse community sometime for some non-stop laughs) but Nintendo wants to make it more than just a laughter machine. Sometime this summer, they will be rolling out a huge Miiverse redesign.

The first aspect of this redesign is a screenshots album. Miiverse will let you easily take screen captures of any game you play. You can save up to 100 screenshots in the album and they will be kept private from other users, for only you to see.

Secondly, they are integrating a brand new Play Journal functionality that lets you chronicle your journey through multiple games. Play journals will be simple text posts, along with an image of what was happening at the time. This is a simple way to, say, record passwords or tips for certain sections of games. Note that including a screenshot with your play journal is hilariously mandatory. You can’t just post text.

Finally, communities will be now sorted into three different sections, one for play journal entries, one for drawings, and one for discussions.

Honestly, I can’t wait to see what sorts of Play Journals people post for the Youtube Miiverse community.
